Was looking at Camoshop.ie and their range of Helikon gear. How do people rate it? durability, wash-ability/ fading etc?
I'm leaning towards the Polish Woodland stuff. Has anybody seen it in use, have any thoughts on it?

I wear the Helikon SFU Trousers & UBACS and find them great, I've also just purchased another jacket as well. Like everything else they will fade slightly over time but nowhere near the same as the cheap Chinese gear. I think it's pretty good value for what you get.

The polish Woodland stuff is lovely -great for the Irish environment. Helikon gear is awesome. I love it - as Mark says you will get some slight fade over time but it's not as bad as a lot of the cheap stuff!

I own a number of Helikon branded gear from TheCamoShop.ie and find them to be superb pieces of kit . The Polish woodland stuff works great in our enviroment as Oddy said. I own a set of the Polish woodland myself and love them.

They are really hard-wearing and have additional pockets in the knees and elbow areas if you want to add further protection by inserting foam pads inside the pockets .

    Quality kit .:)

Sizing is pretty good i wear medium trousers and then fit great but a large top as the medium is too short tin the sleeves

Agreed. I'm a medium in everything...except UBACS I'm a large due to elbow pad placement.

Your best bet is to try it on.

I love Helikon stuff...you can see and feel the quality. I'm a fan of US Woodland...just always liked it (aesthetically...plus it's great in damp woodland conditions) - the polish woodland is more subdued and works fantastically well in dry conditions.

Just got a set of Polish Woodland as a birthday present. Sizing was good for me at Medium. One point to note though, medium trousers are 32" - 35" waist with small straps and buckles to tighten up, there are no teeth on the buckles to hold the straps so they just loosen up again. Be prepared to do a little sewing if you're under the 35". Other than that excellent quality, hope it wears well. Just need to get some insert pads for the knees and elbows now.

Oddy bought a couple of sets of those foam pads tilers wear, we cut them to the appropriate size/shape for our Helikon trousers and I have to say they work brilliantly in terms of protection without hampering movement. I don't think these would be suitable for elbow pads as they are very thick but it's a good starting point.
