    Hey guys,

    Quick question for ye.

I have a few shares that my uncle gave me that I would like to now sell. I have no certificate for them as I have mislaid it. I still receive my dividends and all correspondence etc.

How would I go about releasing the shares?

Sorry if this is a basic question but I have no clue about share dealings.

    Regards,
    Dave

Go to the company's website, look for a link to the 'Investors' section and see if you can find which registration service the company uses. Check for a section where you can register to have your dividends reinvested, this will usually get you the name of the registration service. You then contact that company and ask them how you go about selling or transferring the shares. It will be no harm if you have your last dividend advice slip as that will have your shareholder reference number.

If this is all double-dutch, tell us the name of the company and I'll dig it out for you, it's probably Compushare anyway.
