I got one last week. So far very pleased with it.
If you want to use it to connect to the net Sony want you to buy their proprietary dongle and wireless sender which will add a good amount to the price.
There is a workaround though which is much cheaper and easier with a wireless server.

Or use Homeplug devices and a network patch cable.

Nope. Sony want you to buy their dongle and sender.

You should've been given a form to fill in and send with copy of receipt and the Euro Guarantee form from the box (with the manual) to the stated address.

I believe, like most of these offers, there's a limited time from date of purchase for you to post your claim.

Great TV for the price , media decoders are naff ( like most "smart TV's " ) . The network feature's are accessed via an APN / range extender , this device connects to your in home wireless allowing your TV connection under €60

You officially have 28 days from day of recite of item to send Sony your claim for the €60 rebate *post mark date btb*

Also if you bought it outside the Republic it gets tricky.

The "Form" is a little green booklet which lists the tv models / camera / stuff.

Serial , copy of recipet ect need to be filled out

Ah, don't rely on the Sony IE website -it's rubbish.

EDIT: Here is the Irish one, thanks to connscameras.ie
    http://www.connscameras.ie/product_images/connscameras.com/pdfs/Sony_SmartOffers_Claim_Form_Xmas2011.pdf

Here is the UK one from official Sony UK site:
    http://campaign.odw.sony-europe.com/cross/H250/PDF/201110-cashback-form-uk.pdf

    From here:
    http://www.sony.co.uk/hub/1237483223600/how-to-claim

The Sony UK site seems to be having issues, so you might need to try a few times.
