Lads I picked up a springer pup 3 weeks ago. He had a small skin condition which requires frequent baths with a medicated shampoo. I bath him in the utility sink and he hates the ordeal no matter how much I reasure him. My question is should I be nervous about his apparent dislike of water or is it a pup thing. P.s. The dog is 11 wks old.

i wouldnt be too worried its probably a puppy thing, my springer is 1yr old and hates bathtimes runs a mile when she hears the bath filling up:D:D,but cant get enough of water out in the field, lol she,d find water in the driest desert:D:D hope it goes ok with u both give it time its probably still nervous, an needs a bit more time to settle

Good advice from last post mine would bark at her reflection and was not too keen on the water but as the weeks are going past I can see her getting more confident around water it's only a pup.best of luck with him,

i wouldnt worry about it most pups dont like doing anything new. give her a few months and you will nearly have to drag her away from every bit of water you come across.best of luck with the pup aswell springers are grate little dogs to work with.:D
