Just looking for some input on my current situation

I have been dating a man for 4 months this man on paper is everything anyone would want
has treated me better than anyone has ever before but yet i feel like something is missing

My last boyfriend and my first love treated me very badly we were togther for 1 year and never showed me any respect it was one of those relationships that when it was good it was fanstaic but when it was bad it was diasterious we had huge chemisity and spark which i don't have with my new man

It took me a long time to put myself back out there and trust again and i completly trust my new boyfriend but yet he does not make me feel like my last boyfriend did

My question is is this normal to be wary of getting hurt again or am i missing something and settling

    Hi,
yes its totally normal to be wary after you have been in a bad relationship. However only you can answer the question 'are you settling'.
In my experience when you have been in a bad relationship, then you move on and are actually with someone who treats you well you can find it hard to just be happy. I know that sounds strange but its kind of like the worse someone treats you the more you love them. The more you want to stick around and make it work, to wait it out for the good times-which ineviatbly never come. So when your finally with someone who nice and treats you well its kind of hard to settle with them and just 'be' because your so used to being in an intense relationshio full of drama.

Maybe give it a little more time to get used to being with someone who respects and loves you for you. But if you genuinely dont feel that spark between you and ur current bf then maybe its time to move on, but at the end of the day you are the only one who knows how you really feel. Its just a case of trusting your own judgement.

    Best of luck.
