How do I tell my friend I may like him as more than a friend?

There are signs that he likes me too but he has never really said it to me. We dont see each other a lot (living in diff countries but email/message) but he recently came to visit me.
Since he has gone I miss him and think its time maybe I told him how I feel. I kinda thought he might have said to me while visiting but he is very shy and maybe he didnt want to upset the visit or just doesnt want to go there and remain as friends.
I too am very shy which is why I havent said anything til now but I am beginning life is too short and he wont be single forever either :)

    How do I say it?

    Thanks

I think you should express your feelings too him. If he visited I reckon he sees you as a close friend anyway so don't think, you could damage your friendship by telling him.

Don't come on too strong would be my opinion, just tell him how you like him more than just a friend or something on those lines and it should be good enough to find how he truly feels about you.

Hopefully it works out for you

Tell him, believe me... you don't want to be in a friendly relationship with someone you like. It doesn't work.

Is it ok to say this to him in an email?
Just to put the idea out there :)

Is that the way you normally correspond? If so, I would say work away on email

Well at least I can say I tried. No feelings like that for me.
Not sure what to feel but sure I'll be glad I said something.
    Thanks
