so iv recently been asked to be the fitness trainer for a senior gaa club in my area. this will be my first outing training a team at any level. are there any golden rules not to break as a fitness coach as in things definitely not to do/say.

what are ur experiences of good fitness trainers and bad ones?? any experiences to share?

Try to incorporate some token bit of ballwork with the fitness. Even if it's just receiving a handpass at the end of a sprint or something. Takes some of the sting out of it, mentally.

yeah my father said that to me, im not clueless about hurling skills so shouldn't be a problem. brother and father can run through some drills with me to see if they work down the field.
on the other side im no skills coach so would it be advisable to have manager etc emphasising the skill part?
