Just how confidential is a savings account with Rabobank? Do they automatically inform the Irish Revenue of the existence of your account? If Rabobank receive a request for information regarding my account from any Irish State body is Rabobank obliged to pass over the information? Many thanks, M

    1. No but you pay DIRT when intrest is added so they would know how much you have. I'm not sure exactlly sure what information the revenue is sent.

    2. Yes. Like every other finiancial institution worldwide they will comply with legal requests regarding your information. They fail to do so and would face heavy fines, legal proceedings, jail and possible closure
