    Hi guys,

I have a 2008 Mondeo, but today when I started the car it says the bonnet is open and the alarm won't work.I can lock the car but not the alarm.

I checked and the bonnet and the boot are all locked, any ideas??

    Cheers.

Are you sure the bonnet is down fully? The cables in these give a bit of trouble.

Both the bonnet lock mechanism itself and the cable can give trouble on these. Sounds like you have a problem with the lock mechanism but best to make sure the cable is ok too. A new lock isn't that expensive from Ford.

It only happened when I opened the boot with the button on the key, strange that, it might be some electrical thing.

Also Owen good one mate :)
