how to share internet with Friend?

My friend lives about half a mile away but cant get a landline in for some unknown reason... I have internet and am wondering how if possible i could try and share mine with him? He has a dongle but its hit and miss how well it works....What would be the best solution.... cheers.....

Any wireless point to point link options would require line of sight.

Then you need to find somewhere with line of sight to both you and your friends, that has access to power. It also gets more expensive (2 sets of equipment) and slightly more complicated to setup.
