Power Supply Converter for Tascam US-1800

A friend of mine brought me back a US1800 from the states and I need to get a step down transformer. The max input is 1A 70-80VA 12V 30W max output and 2.5A max output. Would I get away with a 100W transformer or will I have to use a 300W? I have a 300W, but it's being used with my guitar head.

Butou only need 30W according to the rating on the PSu? I think the usual small one is 35W on ebay/ Maplin- that will do fine. About EUR20 depending on where you get it.
