CFW 3.55?

Hi guys, I have a PS3 with CFW 3.55, and am just wondering is it dated? I rented Goldeneye and F1 2011 but cant play them due to it not being 3.72. Could someone please give some advice? Thanks in advance

You have two options:

1) Update to OFW 3.72 & play the games.

2) Remain on CFW 3.55, & wait until a method becomes available to play higher firmware games.

There has been some activity lately with regards to playing high firmware games on lower versions, the scene sites such as psxscene should be able to explain things better than we can here. The method (if available for the games you mentioned) involves the use of backup managers & that's outside of the scope with which we are allowed to discuss the matter.
