Hard Disk error

So, part of my problem seems to be my HDD has issues. I've already repaired permissions, re-installed OS X. It's still acting up. Today, I verified the disk and this came up:
    Invalid volume free block count
(It should be 9633917 instead of 9633915)
The volume Macintosh was found corrupt and needs to be repaired.
Error: This disk needs to be repaired. Start up your computer with another disk (such as your Mac OS X installation disc), and then use Disk Utility to repair this disk.

    Anyone know what this means?

Not sure exactly what it means but I experienced the same problem. I put my os x leopard disk in and restarted and booted from the CD (by holding C when it starts booting up). Then after the disk loads I think you can access Disk Utility from the menu bar along the top of the screen. Run a disk repair. And repair disk permissions while you're at it. Fixed the problem for me anyway.

Only thing is: I did that less than a month ago and I'm back to where I was! Well ... new MBP on the way anyway. Then I'll use this one for something else. Maybe replace the HDD and upgrade the RAM to make it a music digital workstation.
