    Just curious, if one had to sit the autumn exams because the genuine medical reason for not attending January exams and warned the course coordinator and the department far in advance, would the autumn results count for prizes and awards?

    Your department will tell you what place you came in your class if you ask. It's sometimes required for funding applications so they do give out that information. Dunno why anyone would care about it thought to be honest.
