Going rate for babysitters in Longford ?

What is the average going rate for babysitters around Longford / the midlands in general ? Assuming the babysitter is say over 18, and not a cousin who is 15 etc. Some people say about the minimum wage , other people would say about € 10 an hour ?

I usually pay between 8 and 10 an hour plus taking her home/taxi. Kids are always in bed so she doesn't have to do anything only watch the tv.

Im 18 just doing the leaving cert at the moment and would love a babysitting job for the summer! I would happily do it for 6 or 7 euro an hour !
