My daughter has mislaid the wii IR sensor bar in transit between a friends house and our own house.
What would be the most efficient place to order a replacement from ?
Do any shops stock them in Ireland/ Dublin, etc ?
Or... is it a specialist order, eg. via ebay / amazon , nintendo ?

Y0u can definitely get some on ebay, but if you want to play in the meantime, you can use a pair of candles as a makeshift sensor bar. Space them about the width of a sensor bar apart and the games will work fine (presumably your child is old enough to resist the temptation to burn the house down)

If you want an official one, the best bet is to ring Nintendo's customer service. They're about £16.99 (pricey i know..) i think and i don't know if this includes delivery.

but candles should work til then.

I had bad experiences with a wireless one i bought before...dunno if it was my fault or the batteries i used! but a wired one is definitely preferable (some wired ones aren't quite up to the standard of the official one, from looking at online reviews)

The camera is in the wiimotes, all the sensor bar does is provide two light sources.
Setting up two torches would work.

    Dealextreme have cheap ones.

I agree with the wireless ones. Total tosh.

I bought one from here. It's been no bother at all and cost me €3.37 including postage
