Can you get energy efficient coffee maker?

I work from home and my coffee filter machine is on the go all the time. I've only recently discovered that it's a big energy guzzler, consuming about 10% of my ESB bill (say, 25 eur per bill). Are there any energy efficient coffee makes out there? or perhaps someone can recomend one that uses a vacumn flask, where I can…

I saw a piece of kit in Germany where u had the coffee in sealed packets and inside the sealed packet was a circular 'teabag' with the coffee inside.

You put one into the machine and it then heated the water and pushed it out through coffee bag, just a thought:)

Why not keep your existing coffee machine and simply buy a separate thermos jug?

Hey there, you could try using one of the pour over filter coffee methods such as a V60 or a chemex. They make really good coffee (providing your using good fresh beans). You'll find loads of info using google or check out the Coffee & Tea forum here on Boards.
