We have a Mira Elite 2 shower and I've replaced the pull cord switch about twice this year, it gets used approx 4 times per day for about 10 mins each. As far as I know the cable is 6 gauge t&e. Can anyone help out with this issue?

its a very common issue here

if you can get an electrician to fit a suitably rated quality pull-cord

    such as crabtree

    tighten all connections
and dont use pullcord to switch shower load

you should have more luck then

What would the rating be as I plan to get a replacement switch on the way home. I have a feeling our son is switching the shower on and then pulling the cord ....

Pull cord switches just burnt out, screws were tightened. I just replaced the pull cord and still no joy, so called a sparks and just waiting for him. Thanks :-)

    Update:
Electrician came and went and said the shower motor was burnt out. So I installed a Mira Elite ST and back up and running. :D
