Brought A6 into Audi Crok yesterday for service. Wipers €45 and you can't get spurious in Halfords or motor factors. Needs 4 tyres as well, but none of that unexpected. Then the bombshell - Leak in the EGR valve - €485!!!! A 2 1/2 year old A6, serviced on the button etc. Service man says he has lodged a warranty request with Audi for it, even though she's 6 months outside.
I went home, starting to vent, thinking he has just said that so he won't be standing in front of me when he confirms the bad news.....He rang this morning, Audi Cork are taking the labour, Audi are taking 70% of the part, leaving me to pay €90 instead of €485. Good result, or would it normally cost only about €100 to fix anyway, and I'm just being paranoid?:D

If its a good deal, kudos to Audi Cork for doing the extra bit. Now if only I could get cheaper wipers.......:p

That's pretty good, IMO. By the way, I hope you didn't let them replace the tyres without shopping around?:)
