Are reveals just banned on 'Magic & Illusion' forum, or is it a site wide rule?

For instance, if a discussion was taking place in the television forum about a Derren Brown show for instance, and someone guessed on how he did something spot on.. is that against the rules or what?

I would say it's certainly against the charter here.
I'd check with the mods of the television forum.
Bit of poor form posting reveals though ,I always feel that its taking the magic and wonder out of an effect.

I'm not really talking about posting reveals.. I more mean obviously you should be allowed discuss anything that appears on tv on the television forum..
so if a magic/mentalism show is being discussed, where do you draw the line on what you can say? I mean if someone is expressing their 'magic and wonder' of a trick, and guessing at how it was done what happens if they get it spot on?

Guessing isnt revealing. Revealing is posting definite method as confirmed by magician. Guessing is fine, but we dont encourage it on this forum. There was a private magic sub forum for such discussion, but due to slow posting, it was closed.
