Had a quick search and couldn't find anything so hopefully someone might know the answer. Is it possible to take the Open Water course now that the weather has taken a dip and can only get worse for the next few months?

I understand that most of it is classroom/pool based, but can it be completed with the open water dives etc. for someone with little to no experience?

Lots of peeps are ending their diving season that I know of. But they are open until Dec. http://www.waterworld.ie/.

May be if it can be worth getting in touch with some diving schools to see if it can be done then. Cheers

I did it during winter with oceanlife in kilkee. We did pool work and theory and then open water dives in march. It was handy and ready to go for summer.

The only thing is its a big change from nice warm pool to cold sea! :D

As for oceanlife i found them very good and sound out! might be worth contacting them.
