Same Apple ID on two iPod Touch

My two daughters are looking for an iPod Touch for Christmas. Should I set them up with the same Apple ID on both?

They will have more or less the same apps, so by using the same ID I believe I will only be charged once for the paid apps. But can they use FaceTime to each other if they are using the same ID? Is there anything else that could cause an issue?

    Thanks

They can use separate. They can both use the apps, and if they need to up update on the iPod, they just need to sign in on the ID that purchased it.

I use facetime with the same id on both my iPhones (one is the wifes) just add another email on one of the devices under factime, if you are calling via email address rather than phone number.
