Is this a fox specific tapeworm or can dogs carry it too?? - I know nearly all mammals and birds carry tapeworms of various types. I try not to think about these things when I tuck into a pheasant or rabbit;)

Id say because of the influx of foreign individuals here in Ireland it wont belong before it pops up here. This is not a jab at foreign nationals, its a statement in relation to Switzerland, Germany,Austria, Netherlands, Belgium, Luxembourg, Poland, the Czech Republic, the Slovak Republic and Italy all having confirmed specimens. Plus IMO i have yet to come across anyone who is Irish who will eat a Fox, where our friends from the EU eat all things that move:mad:

Yes, dogs can carry it too, eggs are ingestested and form cysts in the liver, lungs and other organs. :(

I was just curious as we're in the process of collecting a few foxes to see if its present.
