Do we really care - there's a lot of living to be done between now and when the Christmas RTE Guide comes out...

@OP why not phone rte and ask them instead of posting here and inviting a load of cynical comments...

Isn't the RTÉ Guide the biggest selling magazine in Ireland every week or something

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 6,853 ✭✭✭brian_t

    Yes, according to themselves.

The RTÉ Guide is Ireland’s largest selling magazine with an ABC circulation figure of 87,561 (ABC 2009) and a readership figure of 588,000 (TGI 2010).

So every copy is read by six people? Seems a little high.

    Thats an interesting point.

According to this page http://www.rte.ie/mediasales/publishing/guide/competitions.html their ABC 2010 figure is 84,018 which make it 7 people reading each copy.

I will continue to use online tv listings.

  • Only a few days now before it's out!

Considering that neither are out yet and this is your only post I'm wondering are you advertising your own Magazine ?

Personally I use DigiGuide but I will still buy the RTE Guide Christmas Issue. I like doing the crosswords and the movie quiz.

Exact same as me! I have DigiGuide and already know what's on Xmas Day but I still get the guide for the Movie Quiz! I won last year.

That's like saying, "You should have Bernard Matthews Turkey Twizzlers for Christmas dinner. They're cheaper than an actual turkey and they only take twenty minutes in the oven."

If you're thinking of getting DigiGuide you might want to wait a bit. Last year they did a great deal of 2 years subscription for around a fiver at this time.

  • It's out!!! I got it today in Dunnes! €3.50! Stuck on one in the Movie Quiz. Question 20.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 339 ✭✭martyeds

Younger members on here wouldnt remember this but when i was a boy, my dad would buy 3 seperate Christmas TV mags. RTE Guide only covered RTE1 and RTE2. TV Times would cover UTV and Channel 4 and Radio Times would cover BBC 1 and BBC 2.
