In a scene more reminiscent of b rated Hollywood movie,the lover of the German tourist murdered, dismembered and burned on a fire on a south sea island has told of her ordeal at the hands of the man who killed him.

How I escaped cannibal killer: Girlfriend of tourist dismembered and burned on fire relives ordeal

The lover of the German tourist murdered, dismembered and burned on a fire on a south sea island has told of her ordeal at the hands of the man who killed him.
While the hunt continues on the island of Nuku Hiva for human-hunter Henri Haiti, 31, Heike Dorsch, 37, has returned to Germany without the man whose life she shared for the past 17 years.
In an interview due to be published in the magazine Bunte on Thursday, Ms. Dorsch relates how she too came close to dying at the hands of a man who may yet prove to be a cannibal.

Authorities on the island have tried to play down the possibility of cannibalism in a bid to save its tourist industry. But Haiti sports a tattoo on his chest of a cannibal warrior in a canoe and the practice was rife on the islands near Tahiti in the 19th century.

Miss Dorsch's partner Stefan Ramin, 41, was murdered on October 9 this year. Both had been sailing around the world in their catamaran Baju and had dropped anchor in a bay of the island a few days before.
Miss Dorsch told Bunte that they had befriended several islanders in the time that the boat was docked there, including Haiti who was a hunter who invited Stefan on an expedition to kill a wild goat.
'In the evening he came back alone, said Stefan needed help,' said Miss Dorsch. 'I grabbed a torch, followed him into the forest.

'Suddenly he threatened me. He held a gun up to my nose and said in French; Va à mourire' - you will die.
'I went for the weapon, grabbed the rifle barrel and shoved it high into the air shouting; 'NO, I am not going to die.'' She said a struggle followed in which he chained her up; she said she was certain he was going to rape her.
She said she summoned all her strength to work the chains loose. 'It was pitch black,' she said. 'I got free and ran and ran, lost my shoes. Then I heard the sea. I ran into the water, dived into the waves and swam to the only ship that was in the bay near ours.'

The Dutch occupants aboard the boat pulled her to safety and called the police. The remains of Stefan's body, bones and teeth were found in a fire in the woods.
German media speculated he had been dismembered and eaten but prosecutors fiercely deny this.
But Haiti remains on the run despite a massive manhunt to find him.
