    Hi all,

Am using the parents laptop here, w/vista, and to be honest its running real slow and full of crap. Now trying to clean it up seems like a hiding to nothing so what I'd like to do is just Format C: and start with a fresh clean system.

However, I cant see any option in accesories to create boot disk and dont have origional DVD (dont think they provided them with Vista).

    Any ideas?

    JJ

On many machines there is a restore partition built into the machine which can often be accessed by pressing F11 repeatately or pressing F8 and running the startup repair.

Alternatively you can download a copy of the recovery console here which mite help you to access the restore partition if all else fails
