I got a call early today from someone claiming to be from the social welfare.
They didnt leave a name or contact number and told me they are calling to my house tomorrow to collect bank details, that I already sent in when I had my meeting.
I tried ringing the offices today but no one picked up, does anyone know what a social welfare inspectors ID looks like so I can make sure this is legit tomorrow?

Hand your bank details into the local office tomorrow morning.

It is absolutely the norm for a SW inspector to call when you have made a claim for a social assistance payment. They will have a file with them with your application and details and will go over those details to check that everything is in order. If you are not happy with their ID card, ask them to read you some of the info from your application form on their file.
