    PTSB will.
    Ulster Bank won't.
Bank of Ireland will hang on to see what everyone else is doing, cos they're scared out of their sh**e to do anything on their own!
AIB are still too busy trying to figure out how much other money they have lost to have the time to even listen to the ECB.

What a pathetic bunch!! I'd love to see Elderfield carry out his threat and take over pricing in the Banks along with everything else (although I guess he'd just eliminate all banking activities to make sure he was never caught out making a mistake!).

Now we have a test to see what FG/Labour and Elderfield are made of!!

A straight two fingers by AIB and BOI to the government, regulator and their customers alike. I guess we will once again see that the Banks have bigger nuts than the Irish authorities one more time.

Hi, I'm on a Traker Mortgage and I got a letter from my loan lender to say that the rate reduction is effective as on 1/12/11.
My mortgage is paid end of every month. My query is; should the rate not be effective as of 3/11/11 and so I should have seen a reduction in Novembers payment?

The banks shouldnt have to pass on a rate decrease if they didnt increase before. Boi didnt increase a few months back but wad quickly forgotten when there wad a decrease back. Bank would have taken a hit and more taxpayers money goes back into bank
