I'm thinking about dropping out of my course. I don't have enough points to do the course I actually want so I think I may repeat. Does anyone know how much it would cost to drop out of college after 3 months? Thanks

It depends, you won't get your reg fee back but if you drop out before the re-registration date (around the end of January) you'll only have to pay half a year's fees when you do start back in college. The depends part is the course you'll start doing. If it's medicine or something it will be more expensive but if it's a standard arts and humanities degree, without any placement or anything like that, it will be cheaper. You can find the costs of all the courses in the calendar.

It really depends on the course you are doing. I know that Engineering to repeat is about €8000 which if you drop out before January would mean you would have to pay about €4000.

It really depends on the course.
