    Hi,

I'm currently writing an essay and I have to assess the similarities and differences between Cicero's perception of Natural Law and the approach adopted by the Irish courts in regards to Natural law. I'm a bit stuck, so any guidance anyone has to offer will be of great help.
    Thanks.

Well, have you read De Legibus and the relevant Irish cases?

Yeah I have, I have a problem tying it all together. I seem to have bit a brick wall.

    Ouch.

Seriously though, what is the nature of the problem? Break Cicero's position down into the basic arguments he is making and then do the same with the Irish jurisprudence in the area. Compare and contrast.

Eugh, I really need to read my posts before I submit them. I was just wondering what would be good areas to focus on as the word count is fairly limited.

I am really really not trying to sound unkind but you really need to figure this out for yourself. Distilling information and deciding what is and is not relevant is a vital element of any legal degree. There's little benefit in writing a good essay on the comparative approaches to natural law unless you really get to the point of the essay which is to make you think about natural law and figure out what are the important aspects for discussion.
