    RCD incoming wire. Top or bottom or either.

    Does it matter whether the wire comes in at the top or bottom of an RCD?

    Check the small wiring diagram that came with the RCD (or small diagram on the side) to be sure, usually the incoming side is indicated. But typically, the feed would come in the bottom. Post a photo if you're still not sure.

    They are usually fed into the bottom terminals in DB boards. But it actually doesnt matter which side is the supply side, once the supply L and N are into the same side.

    +1 on robbie, asked that exact same question to a dit lecturer and he said unless stated by the device it doesnt matter if the L+N feed is into the top or bottom

    some of the db's have the rcd fed in the top
    i think everything should feed in the bottom for uniformity
