I shot about 60 of the 270 130gr through my gun.
Great bullets. Unbelievable expansion, good accuracy.

And 16 quid mightn't seem that cheap to you Glensman being up north, but its very cheap for .270s down here.Sounds good,ta.

I was getting them for £10 until the dealer ran out.
The next cheapest is Hornady Custom @ £23

I was using them when i had the 223 and they were fine nothing special. Mate of mine tried 2 boxs of 130gr in his ruger 270 and they were all over the page.... went back to his federal 130gr and he had 1" groups at 100 yards.

Some of my friends are using them and some of them have good results, others have mixed feeling. Accuracy should be nice and penetration superb. On small deer this not so good since bullet goes through to quick and makes less damage than normal bullets. So a general conclusion is that this bullets are OK for animals over 30kg.

This is a picture of a bullet which was found after exiting a 100+kg deer.

and this is 3 shot group fired from Rossler Titan 6 match barrel .308 win @100m

And one mroe group from a normal hunting rifle at 100m .30-06

I could publish some more photos with flesh wounds on animals but I don't know what the rules of this forum say about such photos. In general the damage on meat is small.
