Spotlight fitting for R80 bulbs

I have spotlights fitted throughout my house. Over the last number of years, a few of the lights have stopped working - new bulbs might work for a few days then just start flicking on and off before dying altogether. I've tried most DIY shops around the Dublin area but I can't find the recessed fittings for the R80 bulbs anywhere (even though I can buy R80 size bulbs in all these shops !!!). Anyone know where I could get these fittings or any other tips ?

you can still get them, litetron still do em hich are distributed by spectrum.
your other option is to replace the larger fitting ith a retrofit kit that fits the r80 size hole in your ceiling but allos you to fit a lo voltage mr16 lamp or a mains gu-10.

I saw a waterproof white plastic version of the R80 fitting last week in my local wholesalers, not sure if they will match your current fittings. let me know if you want the contact details.
