We've just tried to set our alarm for the first time after a number of burglaries in our area.

Got the code off the landlord in America and tried to set it - It's now going off and the noise is unbelievable. It won't accept the code and seems to want 6 digits, although the code is only 4 digits.

Do I need to enter a # or anything??

    I really need help!!!

It doesn't say anywhere on the box what the model number is and when I call the alarm company, I'm just getting a recording message saying they are closed.

I would think the code you are entering is wrong. If entered enough times it will activate a code tamper and the alarm will activate, only way to stop it is to enter the correct code.

Eek...our HKC SEcureWatch only takes four digits...are you sure you aren't entering a 'duress' code?

All depends on the amount of digits that was set up by the installer, if asked 6 can work the same as 4. If a duress code was entered the alarm would disarm as normal but still be in alarm.
