    Hi Folks

You gave me some guidence on where i can mount my dish on my house. I intend to mount it on my garden wall so i have easy access to it in the long term. You prob remember me if you advised me. Any thank you for the advice. Now to the package.

I am basically a tight git who wants to spend as little as possible and get the max amount of english speaking stations pref film and good.

At the moment i have the basic sky pack without movies and sports. I am keeping this. However if i want to get more is it just a case of getting a bigger dish and an extra port on the LNB or do i need to get a motorised dish so i can move it to other channels.

Being a man i should know size but i dont. So when refer sizes of dishes can you explain how that compares to the sky dish.

I appreciate this is asking a lot but all i can promise to do is be greatful and return the favor on knowledge emparted.

Feel free to advertise a specific system or site for guidence. I am only researching at the moment.

    Many thanks
    Joe

No extra equipment is needed - once you have a Sky setup it all comes in on the same dish, same LNB. In fact it's already coming in - every Sky channel movies etc - it's just that your Sky box will block anything you haven't paid for. The channel capacity of the digital satellites is mind-boggling.

(well to be more precise - all the Sky stuff is coming in - but it's encrypted - your Sky box will only unencrypt whatever it knows you have paid for)

Some extra channels are via different satellites in the sky so if you want to pick up stuff from a couple of different satellites, you can either use 2 dishes or use a motorised dish or use a larger dish with 2 (or more) LNBs on it.

Extra ports on the LNB will only give you additional feeds of the one satellite. You want seperate LNBs. They will point in slightly different direction and receive different satellites.

I installed a triax TD88 dish with multi lnb bracket a few weeks ago. I have it set up with 2 lnbs - a quad LNB which feeds my sky+ box as I have a basic sky contract. I then have a another single LNB pointed at 19.2E while picks up alot of german stuff and I just ran that to another cheap satellite box.

I don't know if there is much English speaking stuff. I just wanted the extra satellite to view the formula 1 racing free on rtl channel as its going to sky sports for Ireland next year

So folks. Having read up a bit the above is a package i am interested in. It has 3 LNB's and a HD Box. As one of the receivers points at my sky sat i can connect my sky box to this.

    So my question is this.

if it contains 3 LNB;S will i have to run 3 cables and if i want to connect my sky box as well will one of the LNB;S have to be a quad meaning i will effectivly have 4 cables.

    Any more help appreciated.
