iPhone 3g - I changed battery now screen is dead

    Hi guys,

This evening I attempted to change the battery on my iPhone 3G. Now I have no screen display. Things seemed to go well; I didn't force any cables, and they all seemed to clip back in place pretty well, except for perhaps number 3 - I'm not sure if it has slipped back in far enough. If I flip the mute switch back and forth, I can feel the phone vibrate as it goes into silent mode, indicating that the battery is working. If I plug it into the mains, I hear the familiar beep. Any ideas?

    TIA

Hold Power + Home for a few seconds.

Does the screen light up at all, unplug the LCD cable and attach it again.
I've seen people blow the backlight when changing them with the power turned on

Yes, that's after doing something. The screen is lighting and the apple logo has appeared. The apple logo has been there for about a minute.

a minute is about normal for a 3g I'd have thought?

Ok, I think I'm back fully operational. Thanks a million!
