Another Problem with Sky Box

I am using an old Sky box as a free to air box but today I can not get any BBC channells. All other stations are ok. A Freesat box running from the same dish is perfect. Any ideas ?

BBC1 is now HD on channel 141. That may explain it.

Sorry just seeing you're using the box for free to air so its on 101 I think. No idea.

try plugging it out for a minute. and reboot.

On checking, I can get the other BBC 1 &2 but my chanell 101 is BBC London and nothing doing there. Is there anyway of changing 101 (London) to some other area without a Sky Card ?

nope.
have a look at 980 ish (cant remember the numbers off the top of my head, all the regional bbc stations are around there)

Hi , I can get those BBC chanells around the 980 mark, but I can not get BBC3 or 4 or more importantly BBC news.
If I borrow a Sky card for some other region than London, will that switch 101 from London ?

what channel are you trying to get on 101? bbc1 is the default. (using no card)

bbc3 and 4 should be there ( 229/230 on my sub epg) cant remember but is it 113 ish for bbc3 ? someone else may be able to confirm.

(kids are watching mine at the mo so cant check)

have you tried adding bbc3/4 via other channels?

If you borrow a card, the EPG will revert back to the default when you take it out.

You would be better to borrow a box to check reception.

In any case, there is some underlying problem which needs to be sorted. You will not get BBC3 or BBC4 until after 7pm but all the other BBC channels are coming in fine for me.

A favourites list may be the best way to manage which channels you watch most.

Hi lads, 101 is BBC london and the error message is
There is a technical fault with this chanell please try later.
Same with 102 BBC2 and 503 (?) BBC news.
I could not get BBC 3/4 last night.
I can get most of the other BBC, eg NI Scotland, Wales etc on the chanells around 980.

I tried re booting the Box while holding "Backup" but nothing happened, no flashing lights etc.
It's not a huge problem to me as I have a Freesat box in another room, but I don't give up easily on thing like this LOL

Problem solved
I got at the LNB connection today, tighened it and BBC London came back.
A strange one as I never lost the ITV channels and had the BBC regions.
Don't understand it but it's working
