    Oven spray cleaner !!! . It works trust me.

    I used meguiars degreaser followed by 303 aerospace protectant.

    Gunk degreaser for the heavy stuff and a can of WD40 is handy. Also an old toothbrush helps I find for awkward corners, you won't be using it on your teeth again after...
    Oh yeah- lots of patience and elbow grease too.

    i dont bother but if I did I dont think Id use ovencleaner. Thats severe stuff and I wouldnt be that brave.

    Diesel,and brake or carb cleaner in an aerosol for the ground in stuff in the nooks and crannies.

    Oven cleaner & engine cleaner are the same thing in different tins.Also car dealers use mr. sheen furnisher polisher to give showroom shine finish to a car.You get a better shine & no chalk marks leftover afterwords.:rolleyes:

    thats not to say ALL ovencleaners are the same as engine cleaner (if any are)..the stuff Ive used in our oven is a foam which Id say would strip off the paint!

    Normally those oven cleaners are Sodium Hydroxide, which will eat oil and grease very well. don't think it reacts with rubber hoses, however it will react with aluminium, so be careful.
