Running shoes and gait question

    Hi folks,
I've been running for a couple of months. I started out just doing a mile long lap, and after four weeks I had worked up to doing a 5k run comfortably enough, although I started getting aches on the outside of my calf on my right leg, down as far as the ball of my ankle. I figured I had hurt myself on a bit of rough terrain, and I rested for a while. I got back out a few weeks later, and everything started out fine, but now that ache is coming back again. It's not agonising or anything, but I suppose I am worried that it could progress into a more serious problem down the road, and I would hate to have to take more time off.

I was walking by Lifestyle Sports this morning, and I ducked in to see if they had anything in the way of ankle braces to maybe give that area some support. The guy behind the counter seemed friendly, and he told me that he could see my foot arching as I walked to try the brace on. It is possible that my gait is what's causing this pain, even though I'm only running relatively short distances?

Go to a specialist shop, lifestyle are ok for other things but not gait etc..

I see you are in Dublin, try Runways on Parnell street..........get it done right or you will spend months injured..
