Broken Camera Screen

Hey,

My girlfriend got a shiney new Canon Ixus 115. She then made the mistake of letting me take a picture where the camera fell, crushing the screen.

Basically the camera is still working...taking pics, zoom etc...but the screen is SHAGGED MAJORLY.

Ive bought her the exact same one at and want to get the old one fixed...

so can screens be fixed? genuine advice would be greatly appreciated!

they can be fixed, but often at a cost which is more than the camera is worth.
i see the camera retails here for about €200; i'd say you might be paying a good chunk of that to replace the screen - and you don't know for sure if there's other damage then.

any idea of where to look for repair? in limerick or kilkenny ish? just to look into...realise could cost a lot

i see the casing is also damaged. ring canon ireland - they may charge just to look at the camera, though, to give a quote.

first i apologise for being lazy not to look at that myself!

secondly cheers! seems like its worth a punt for 25 quid!...

what could possibly go wrong

just looked more into it...plan on sending the camera away soon...will report back on how it goes!
