Did anyone else just hear what sounded like an air raid alarm down at the docks?

Are those pesky Germans at it again?

Thought it was in the barracks. They test it periodically, usually in the mornings

Judging from the time of your post. It was just the weekly test of the General Alarm in Renmore barracks. Presumably it's tested at the same time every week so as not to 'alarm' anyone...........(sorry:o).

Depending on the wind you may or may not hear it. On other days you can hear gunfire from the same direction when they use the small range.

It occurs to me that if you wanted to attack the barracks, the time to do it is 11 am on a Wednesday. :D

I have regularly heard the gunshots from down there as I lived in Renmore for years, but that was the first time I've ever heard the air raid siren.

Good to know we're not being invaded or anything. Feckin' Ruskies.

Very true why use physical force to take over another country when you can use fiscal force instead?

I've heard that siren a load of times, plenty of shooting going on the last few days too.

Are you sure you're not confusing it with the siren in the docks?

Guys that siren went off yesterday in the docks, its tested on a regular basis in case of an oil tank fire, also tested at times is the siren on top of the tower at the fire station. There is no siren in Renmore Barracks.
