    Anyone recommend where the best place is to buy a few cases of this Italian wine ?

    It's not easy to get a good one and the good ones are expensive. It is essentially a copy of the more common sangiovese grape so try that before splurging on Brunello.

    Brunello is a completely different beast than Chianti. The grapes is called Sangiovese Grosso, similar genetically to the Sangiovese in Chianti, but that's where the similarities end.

    Worth a look at the moment is Belnero, it's a Brunello in all but name. They don't call it (or legally can't call it) Brunello because they've added small quantities of Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot.

    It's available here for €19.95 (down from €48.95)

    O'Briens have an excellent Brunello on offer at the moment in their fine wine promotion. Offer ends tomorrow though (sunday, nov 20th). It's reduced from 34.99 to 24.99. The offer is in store only and not on the website.

    San Felice Campogiovanni 2006

    If you're going to try it go for the 2006 as they also stock the 2005.

    If you're going to try it go for the 2006 as they also stock the 2005.

    The 2006 just ranked 4th in Wine Spectator's top wines of the year. That was a great bargain at 25 euro :D
