up to last week i used to log on to the used watches for sale thread on ebay .co.uk, it was to me pretty obvious that irish based sellers unless they had a premium product were not getting the same money as uk or us based sellers, do the inhabitants of boards agree with me or is it my imagination.

Smaller market I suppose. Prices for stuff here can vary. During the bubble any old "vintage" stuff often went for mad money in retailers. Double even triple their value in the wider world.

Rejoice in the awareness of feeling stupid, for that’s how you end up learning new things. If you’re not aware you’re stupid, you probably are.

I'd say many people click the 'UK only' box, with a population of 60 million and a healthy watch market, why take the risk of buying abroad?

yes but irish sellers have their ads on ebay uk, it does not matter if they like it or not.

When you're searching ebay.co.uk, you can choose to only show items in the UK. It's an option on the left hand side of the page.
