EasyJet Customer Service: Useless.

EasyJet customer service are trying to charge me a 42 euro 'admin fee' to change my flight to the date I INITIALLY selected, after their misleading website led me to book for the following day instead. After calling them up, the lady on the other end flat our refused to waive the fee, despite admitting that this was a common problem and an easy mistake to make.

The site draws attention to the flights for the following day, without clear enough notification that these flights are not in fact for the day you selected.

Just something to watch out for folks, and with any luck you won't have to deal with their awful customer service.

They really couldn't make it any clearer. EasyJet have been using this for years. If it did cause such customer dissatisfaction, they would have done away with it a long time ago.

I worked in customer service for an online UK retailer before and the amount of times I've heard "It should be in flashing red letters" is unbelievable. If all those suggestions were taken on board, the website would have looked like a neon rainbow crashed into a red light district. Same basic lesson stands for my former employer's customers as it does for EasyJet customers: read what's in front of you.

Btw, did you not think to question that seemingly the same flight had two booking options with £8 of a difference for no apparent reason???

I'm with 10a on this one. I looked at the image and it's pretty clear that it's a table. There's even column headings with the day & date. What more is required ?

It was easyjet, you have to be on your toes when booking stuff like this with either them or Ryanair, I literally scrutinise every step I make. It is a nice little pit fall designed to catch the less than sharp user. Unfair... totally however if it helps give cheaper flights for those of us clever enough to beat their system them I'm all for it.

Ever watch "Airline" on Sky you won't be getting a penny back, consider yourself lucky in a way had you made the same mistake with Ryanair it would probably be cheaper for you to book another new ticket.
