Valet for Flooded Carpets?

    Hi All,

Carpark in which car was parked during the floods flooded, leaving the carpets (only thanks god) saturated. I've attempted to dry out the carpets myself (towels, running the heater, open windows, etc), but to no avail.

Can anyone recommend a decent valet/garage that will take out the seats, and carpets to dry it out? I'm based in Donnybrook, so anywhere southside would be fantastic. I know of Prestige Valet (http://www.prestige24-7.ie/) who do it for €250, but they can only do it in Walkinstown; a nightmare to get to for me.

Any help would be much appreciated guys!

You could try a wet vaccum? This should suck a lot of the moisture out of the carpet.
Spray with something after to kill mildew.

Park the car overnight where as warm as possible and leave the windows cracked for the moisture to evaporate?

Isn't there a crowd there that wash and valet cars behind the petrol station in Donnybrook? I have no experience of them but just thought it may be convenient for you.
I think you'd be best taking the carpets out alright, it takes a long time for them to dry if left in the car, and some mildew might form. It also allows any trapped water in the floor sections to be removed.

You can go to your local hardware shop too (after the carpets are dried) and get a few of the moisture absorber yokes. They'll help to get the last traces of moisture out.

Can you borrow a dehumidifier? Get some bags of silica also maybe.
