I have a packard bell TJ61 notebook,i got it the christmas before last.I was having some trouble with overheating that i had let go for a while untill it started cutting out,a quick white flash then a black screen just like a telly being turned off.I had previously fixed the "yellow light of death" on a ps3 twice so i said id try my hand at cleaning out the laptop fan .
It worked perfectly,i couldn't believe how quiet and how much faster it was,it was like brand new again!.But there was one problem,i forgot to plug the ribbon for the track-pad back in.So i took it apart again and plugged it back in and now that works fine but now there's a new, much bigger problem.
The laptop starts fine,i get the Packard Bell logo, the Windows7 logo, the password and then on the last loading screen before the desktop,it cuts out!
It's just like when it was overheating, just like a tv being switched off,Im almost 100% sure its not overheating and it didn't do this when the track-pad was plugged out (i have a wifi mouse app on my iphone that i used for a few days because i was too lazy to take it apart again).I used thermal compound from pc world for the cpu and gpu if that could cause it but i really dont think its overheating (but that was the cause before i cleaned the fan).
The battery doesn't hold much of a charge and the charger keeps disconecting,i dont know if its the charger or the power jack but they've been like that for a while but it always worked fine,if they could cause it?I've taken it apart several times and cant find anything unplugged or visually damaged
Anyone have any advice or suggestions???Im cracken up without it!!

    Thanks....
