Does anyone here use the read it later app? why does it need to be synced? surely that defeats the purpose? Its a bit annoyign to go offline and find you cant read stuff.

Do you mean a 3rd party app (ReadItLater or InstaPaper) or the built in Reading list.

3rd Party - You can to download the content to the app while online and then read offline, or else the info is never saved on the phone.

Reading list - Hasn't worked too well for me, but the reason it syncs is so that the same lsit appears on all devices.
