if i buy liquids and aerosols from UK websites, is it possible they will get blocked coming in? it seems some websites don't let you order liquids while others do so just wondering..

I'm not aware of what restrictions surround liquids being sent from the Uk but certainly the are strict when it comes to aerosols.

I tried to buy a sun cream aerosol from a British store last year and despite being marked as cosmetics it was discovered as an aerosol by xray at the ferry port and returned to sender. The man who owned the shop then tried sending it to me privately without shop logos on the box and just marked it health care and it was stopped again and returned to him.

Not all shops are aware of the restrictions but they are there and they are strictly enforced.

It depends on the contents themselves and the mode of transport.

e.g. aersols of lighter fuel cannot be sent by air and when sent by surface must have a hazard certificate and handled in a particular way.

As there are so many rules and regualtions with different products, some places find it easier just to say no.

probably depends on the shipping method they use... if they use an air service they most likely wont ship these to you. liquids and aerrsols becone pressurised in flight and if not sealed properly can leak explode etc...

if they use a road/ferry courier they should be able to send them as they dont have any of the above problems

My suncream was shipped via road/ferry but was returned to sender after being xrayed and discovered to be an aerosol.
