So i have moved into a new house (3 years old) and since then every time i try to turn on hot water the rads and hot water heat up and every time i turn on centrel heating the rads only turn on !
How do i change it so that my rads only turn on when centrel heating is turned on and that when hot water is turned on that ONLY hot water heats up ??
    Thanks

PS.. i read up that its something to do with the myson power extra valve or something like that behind the boiler..

    seems like a wiring problem
may need to get a sparks in
i dont think its as simple as swapping the mini valves over

    Thanks for the reply
I got the plumber in 3 times and every time he changes it, ie. Changes them around like the heating and the water and the last time he was here he left it like this..

One time it was that HW heated up the rads and the hot water and that CH .. And now its HW heats up hot water and rads and CH Heats up rads ..then i rang the plumber up to change them he changed them wrong.

But i want CH to heat up the rads and hot water and HW to heat up just hot water .. I think thats what its supposed to do anyway!

Sounds like you have a dodgy 3 way mid position diverter valve or something, a picture would speak a thousand words here

Its a 3port mid position valve, so it is

    a) either wired incorrectly so calling for both dhw and ch when only dhw is called for

    b) not fully moving to the dhw position (not closing fully)

Tell your plumber to RTFM, for gods sake, or did he stop learning when he finished his apprenticeship

And above that there is like a sliding switch and it says " manual override only" ... If thats any help...

You would need to follow the wiring diagram between your time and temperature controls to the valve and confirm the correct wiring

Asper post 8, either wired incorrectly(which I'd go for) or sludge in the system stopping the valve from operating properly.

The MPE 322/328 is designed to control water circulation in primary hot water and central heating circuits, by diverting flow to either circuit or to both simultaneously using a single valve.

For convenience the two neon indicator lights illuminate indicating which port is open.

When the manual lever is moved to the right, ports A and B are open, this is used when filling, venting or draining the system. The spring return, Mid-Position actuator – valve rests in the hot water only position.
