Just hoping that someone can clear this up for me....
Are teachers (secondary school) still getting their pay increments, or are they frozen?

I thought they were frozen, but a friend at work says she is sure teachers are still getting them.

If so, what date does the next increment kick in? Is it January to December or does it depend when you took up the job?

    Thanks!

    Increments are not frozen.

Increments depend on when you started. I get mine in September every year because I started in September. I think there are four times in the year when they are awarded. September, October, January and I can't remember the fourth one. April maybe.

You get your increment whenever it is due, there are no time restraints on it. If for example you took unpaid leave, your increment would move back by that many weeks.
